MMMM MMMM CAFE

When I worked at Mitchell & Company, we had a full kitchen with a barstool counter eating area. It’s where we all gathered to eat and socialize. At least once a month, catered meals were prepared on-site. The owner, Mark Mitchell, wanted to name the kitchen the “Mmmm Mmmm Cafe” because of his habit of making that sound while eating delicious meals. Being the delightfully inappropriate person that I am, I came up with this logo. We used it on T-shirts, coffee mugs and a big duratrans sign that hung in the kitchen.

My role: concept and design.

Years later, the agency had a large rooftop deck built to overlook the Maumee river. Keeping with the mythology theme, I named and designed the logo for The Landing.
