Suitably Attired

After my mom died, I had a ton of her clothes to donate. I found Suitably Attired, a non-profit organization that contributes comprehensive, no-cost services to low-income women seeking economic self-sufficiency through employment. They provide women with interview- or work-appropriate clothing, and offer individual support, educational programming, and personal attention. Once the client is hired, she’s able to come back monthly to round-out her wardrobe at a nominal fee.

Donating my services, I created an inexpensive identity package, along with a mailer, to promote Suitably Attired. The hanger icons of the logo represent the clothing, the donation and then the metamorphosis of the woman becoming self-sufficient. The visuals of the mailer all incorporated fabric. Fun fact – I sewed the butterfly and chrysalis.

My role: design, copywriting, photo art direction, set stylist, print production and seamstress.
